Kondwani Luwe, MSc (Epidemiology)
Research Associate and Consultancy Coordinator
Kondwani Luwe is a Research Associate within the RGHI ECDC project and Consultancy Coordinator with expertise in field-based research on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH). He holds a Master’s degree in Epidemiology from Kamuzu University of Health Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health from the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS).
In his dual role, Kondwani leads and coordinates consultancy assignments, working with partners to design and deliver evidence-based WASH and public health projects in Malawi and the wider region. He has contributed to numerous academic papers, policy briefs, and conference presentations, building a strong track record in applied research and knowledge translation.
His research focuses on the intersection of WASH interventions and epidemiological methods, generating practical insights to improve public health in low- and middle-income settings. Driven by a passion for community health and sustainable WASH systems, Kondwani’s work supports impactful, context-sensitive solutions for underserved communities. He also currently serves as the publicity secretary for the Malawi Environmental Health Association (2025 to 2027).
