Million Trocco Mafuta, MPhil

Research Fellow and Lecturer at Malawi University of Business and Applied sciences (MUBAS), department of Electrical Engineering. Million is experienced in Electrical, Telecommunication and RE; he holds a Master of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from Strathclyde University, Scotland. His research interest is applying the internet of things (IoT) and machine learning to solar PV power generation forecasting to enable dynamic electricity pricing. Most of his practical work has been in the electrical energy audit, design and installation of sustainable off-grid community-based solar PV systems, including developing a 290-kW solar farm for MUBAS. Million has also been designing and implementing IoT technologies fostering remote monitoring of off-grid solar PV systems and environmental conditions.
