A Research Associate with extensive experience in the fields of Public and Environmental Health, specializing in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) and injury prevention research. Monica holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Health from the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS). Her outstanding academic achievements have served as a strong foundation for her career as a researcher, where she consistently demonstrates exceptional analytical skills and a profound empathy for vulnerable populations.

Monica’s unwavering dedication to improving the health and well-being of adolescents is the driving force behind her commitment to understanding and addressing the intricate factors that shape their lives. Her deep passion for finding innovative solutions empowers young individuals to lead healthier lives through research. Her work continuously seeks to empower and uplift communities, with a particular focus on promoting evidence-based interventions that enhance the overall health and well-being of vulnerable populations. Currently Monica is working on an NIHR funded project focusing on the role of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) on adolescent health and wellbeing.
