Save Kumwenda, PhD
Research Fellow and Associate Professor
Research Fellow and Associate Professor at Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS), department of Environmental Health. Save holds a PhD in Public Health majoring in Environmental Epidemiology from Kamuzu university of Health Sciences. Save was a co-PI in a study that was testing a device used to measure E. coli in water. The project was implemented as a consortium of different institutions in UK, America, Asia and Africa with Ulster University as the lead institution. Previously, Save has been involved in the coordination of the Scotland Chikwawa Health Initiative (SCHI) and the Sanitation and Hygiene Applied Research for Equity (SHARE). His main research interests are in Environmental Health Epidemiology focussing on risks associated with new interventions in the environmental and public health.
