DRUM Feedback and Validation Sessions

DRUM Feedback and Validation Sessions

After the successful completion of the DRUM project in 2021 which aimed at understanding the Drivers of Antimicrobial Resistance in Uganda and Malawi, WASHTED and its collaborating partner Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Trust (MLW) went back to the study areas to give feedback and validate the study results. The sessions were conducted in March 2022 in the 3 study sites, Ndirande, Chileka, and Chikwawa.

Attending the sessions were; household participants, community leaders, HSAs, market chairpersons, veterinary farmers, and community advisory group representatives.

Feedback from these sessions was further shared with the Ministry of Health, Environmental Affairs department, City councils, and other stakeholders to inform policy and provide evidence for developing context-specific interventions.
